Abstract:
New technologies like web-based PCs, Mobile phones, Satellites and Wireless technologies, and Internet etc. are helping the teachers and the students to gather and spread information which is normally not possible by any other way. Unlike the previous society the present information society has accepted the new technologies for faster development and growth due to the global competition. The present research article throws light on the usefulness of Multimedia technology in universities, colleges, schools, educational institutions and even corporate training centres. It also deals with advantages of web-based teaching and instructional strategy in distance education.
