Abstract:
The present study tries to study the environmental awareness ability of X Std. students Urdu medium school of Aurangabad city, Maharashtra. The data was collected through survey method. Two schools were selected at random; out of each school fifty students (25 boys & 25 girls) were selected at random, to make the sample size of 100. Dr. Pravin Kumar Jha’s environmental awareness ability measure was used. It contains 51 items, yielding scores in five dimensions – 1) causes of pollution, 2) conservation of soil forest, air etc.3) energy conservation, 4) conservation of human health, and 5) conservation of wild life and animal husbandry. The data collected was given statistical treatment using mean and standard deviation. The study revealed that the environmental awareness ability of X Std. students is high and there is significant difference in environmental awareness ability of male and female students.
