A study of relation between stress management and teacher effectiveness of secondary school teachers in Aurangabad city

Abstract:
Stress is an inseparable part of human life. Each and every individual realizes and faces the problem of stress at every walk of life. We are living in a modernized highly sophisticated life style. The advancement of science and technology necessitates the changes in all the sections of the society. The advancement of science and technology has brought many changes not only in the life style but has made tremendous changes in the nature of job as well. As a result, the human being irrespective of their field has to learn new technique and technology to cope up with the changing circumstances. This situation causes stress within the individual and the society in general. The effectiveness of the educational system largely depends upon the active, resourceful and competent teachers. But the researcher found that the teachers are in stress. In the present study the researcher took the variables stress management and teacher effectiveness and tried to find out the correlation between these two variables. For the present research the Researcher has used the descriptive survey method. 80 secondary school teachers had been selected randomly from 9 schools in Aurangabad City as the sample for this study. The standardized tools, - stress management scale developed by Dr. Pushpraj Singh & Dr. Anjali Srivastava and Teacher effectiveness scale developed by Dr. Umme Kulsum were used by the researcher to collect the data. The researcher analyzed the data with the help of mean, S.D, t-test and Pearson product moment method of correlation for data analysis.
