Academic resilience in secondary school students

Abstract:
Research on resilience has grown rapidly since the last decade, particularly in developmental psychology, family psychology and counselling. Resilience is multi-dimensional in nature and encompasses various domains such as academic, social and emotional resilience. The present research study is an attempt to study and compare the Academic Resilience in the male and female secondary students of English medium schools. Descriptive survey method and random sampling technique was adopted for the research study. Mean, S.D and t-test were the statistical techniques used for analysis and interpretation of data. The findings revealed that the Overall Academic Resilience in the secondary students is high. There was a significant difference found between the Academic Resilience of male and female secondary students.
